The 'classic' Moulton
A guide to original specifications (and known variations therefrom) for U.K. Moulton bicycles with 16" and 17" wheels produced between 1963 and 1974. Written by Paul Grogan
A4 format, case bound in blue Wibalin with gold blocked title on front and spine. Full colour dust cover, printed on 130gsm satin paper, 80 pages richly illustrated with 70 full colour line drawings, 45 colour photographs and 8 black & white photographs. ISBN 0-9543265-1-2
This practical and informative book was originally written with the potential buyer, new owner or keen restorer of the full size Moulton in mind. After demand for the first book exceeded all expectations, it was decided to revise and update the information, upgrade the illustrations and to add more photographs to the Masterclass section. A new section entitled "The making of a 'classic' Moulton" has also been added, giving an insight into the way Moultons were manufactured and assembled. Period Moulton advertising has been inserted in the appropriate places to further give the reader a feel for the 'Swinging Sixties.' This book will prove to be an even more invaluable reference for all 'classic' Moulton fans.

Section
1. If you
are thinking of buying a 'classic' Moulton in an 'original' or 'unrestored'
condition, this book will confirm the parts that were originally fitted at the
Bradford-on-Avon, Kirkby or Nottingham factories. The new owner will be able
to ascertain the extent to which their Moulton has remained in an unmodified
condition. For the keen restorer, this guide will prove to be invaluable by
detailing exactly the type of components that should be fitted if it is decided
to return the bike back to its original factory specification.
Inside you will find information on 16 different machines covering the Demonstrator
M1, Continental and Automatic M0, Standard M1, Deluxe M2, Safari M3, Speed M4,
Stowaway M5, Speedsix M6, 'S' Deluxe MS2, 'S' Safari MS3, 'S' Stowaway MS5,
the rare 'S' Speed, Major and Major Deluxe and the Mark III. There is even a
useful exploded assembly diagram of a Standard M1 to help you remember where
all those little bits and pieces go when you start to reassemble your restoration
project! Each model is superbly illustrated with detailed drawings in full colour.
